Johnson Health Tech inaugurated its second plant in Bac Ninh Province, Vietnam, on August 3, 2026. Backed by a US$70 million investment, the facility is designed as a next-generation, low-energy, heavily automated and digitalized plant.

Chairman Peter Lo said demand is outpacing what current capacity can handle, and that the new site is built to close that gap. “It won’t be the last move, either,” he said. The plant builds on the company’s first Vietnam production base, established in 2019. Construction began with a groundbreaking on February 19, 2025, and the facility was inaugurated about a year and a half later.

The plant produces cardio and weight training equipment for commercial and home use, including treadmills, ellipticals, cross-trainers, indoor cycles, and strength equipment. Core components such as motors, electronic control systems, running decks, and belts are made in-house. The facility was designed from the ground up with automated, digitalized workflows and low energy use. Its workforce, about 1,100 today, is targeted to reach 2,000 by year-end.

The added capacity and workforce reflect the growing demand for fitness equipment the company is addressing. The energy-efficient design is consistent with Johnson Health Tech’s commitment to combine advanced technology, smart manufacturing, and sustainability in its production expansion.
